Nonillion is looking for 4 motivated senior embedded developers to reinforce our customers’ team, a world leader in xDSL modems, Triple Play networking solutions and telephony products.

You will reinforce the Femto team which enables operators to deliver compelling multimedia services to the home network over any WCDMA 3G handset.

Our customer develops high performance products for telecom providers, professional and home surfers alike. They are a multinational top player in the area of multiple-play gateways to support advanced voice, video, and data services such as broadband access, multiple wireless voice-over-IP (VoIP) lines, IPTV, video on demand (VOD), fixed-mobile convergence, UPnP media sharing, and printer sharing. Through a focus on the finished article and adjusted structures, an optimal development environment is created for consumer products. The development is done in a project-oriented matrix organisation, which is dynamically adapted to the high-speed market and product development needs.

Responsibilities:

Participate in feasibility studies to define the SW architecture for new embedded gateways and services: customer requirement analysis, translation of high-level specifications into a detailed SW design strategy, provide input for SW development plans. You perform in a team of SW engineers, interacting with project managers and technical customer contacts.

You will develop Software for next generation gateway platforms by steering the definition, design and implementation of embedded application SW in C/C++ using advanced tools and real-time operating systems (embedded Linux, RTEMS).

Required experience - Qualifications:

Relevant experience in embedded SW development for at least 3 years
Profound knowledge of Cell phone networks: 3G, GPRS, UMTS, RANAP, SS7, SCCP
Master Computer Science/ Electronics/ Informatics or Engineer IT/ Electronics
Programming languages: C/C++
Operating systems: Linux, RTEMS
Development environment: Linux/Unix, ClearCase, zsh, bash, …
Software concepts: multi-threading, network programming, client-server applications
Toolchain: GNU (gcc, gdb), Lauterbach/JTAG
Networking: knowledge of data communication concepts and stacks
VOIP development: SIP, MGCP, H323, VOIP DSP drivers
Short international business trips possible

Personal Skills:

Team player, with excellent communication skills
Fluent in English and Dutch(written and spoken)
Analytical thinker, problem solver
Work independent and be stress resistant
