Embedded Network Engineer
Our customer develops high performance products for telecom providers, professional and home surfers alike. They are a multinational top player in the area of multiple-play gateways to support advanced voice, video, and data services such as broadband access, multiple wireless voice-over-IP (VoIP) lines, IPTV, video on demand (VOD), fixed-mobile convergence, UPnP media sharing, and printer sharing.
Job Description:
Your main responsibility is to development software for all network aspects in the DSL gateway/route. You take ownership of one or more functional modules, like IP security or wireless, authentication. You assist project management and product management in the analysis of the technical requirements and the feasibility study. You will design, develop, code and test the software implementing requirements. You take ownership of deliverables and ensure the quality aspects of codes (memory, performance, maintenance). You write design documents and Code reading documents.
Necessary Qualifications / Experience:
Preferred experience or knowledge in one or more of the following domains:
- Education: Computer Sciences/Engineer in electronics
- Networking Protocols
- Experience in embedded C/C++ design and programming
- Knowledge of Operating System Principals
Personal Skills:
- Fluent in English (Dutch is an asset)
- You are creative in finding solutions
- Analytical and abstract thinking is essential
- Accountability, takes initiative
- Independent + strong drive to improve way-of-working
- Communicative skills, able to work in team
- Hands-on approach required as well as flexibility, due to a fast evolving environment
