Senior SW Engineer Internal Tooling
Job Description:
The Sr Engineer Internal Tooling installs, configures and maintains the development tool chain.
The MTS Internal Tooling reports to the head of R&D Operations. You are responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining the development toolchain, consisting of source control systems, compiler and build tools, bug tracking system, and other development related tools. You keep at all times a clear overview on the automated build processes of the development groups.
Necessary Qualifications / Experience:
Preferred experience or knowledge in one or more of the following domains:
- master’s degree in electronics or software engineering or comparable by experience
- at least 3 years of total experience in the field of software development tooling
- programming languages: C/C++, unix shell programming
- operating system: Linux with gcc/gdb toolchain
- installation and maintenance of SCM tools (ClearCase, Perforce, PVCS, …)
- installation and maintenance of bug/change tracking systems
- knowledge in the following technical areas is an asset:
- Linux kernel knowledge is a pro
- experience with RTOS is a pro
Personal Skills:
- profound knowledge of English mandatory, French is an asset
- good communication and people coaching skills
- innovative drive without neglecting quality of work
