Site Engineer Mobile Networks

Nonillion is an ICT consultancy company, headquartered in Belgium. We are specialized in telecommunication staffing and sourcing. We have the privilege of working very closely with the largest telecom solution providers and have built a network of telecom specialists who assist our clients globally. For this project Nonillion is urgently looking for a Site Engineering Network Implementation Engineer to reinforce our client‘s team in Belgium and who is willing to make occasional business trips to MEA.

Our client develops total solutions to emerging markets in mobile telecom. This position is to reinforce the team that is working on off-grid power solutions based on renewable power sources and primary energy source diesel engines.

Job description:

We are looking for an engineer as a member of the group responsible for design, solution quality, integration and evaluation of prototypes of the described power solutions for telecom applications. The activities are mainly in the Belgium headquarters. The application area of these solutions are telecom sites of our export business located in Africa and Middle East.

Short field visits for integration and evaluation of the solutions are part of the job. More specific the activities of this job are analyze of problems, design the solution, generation of electrical/electronic drawings, documentation and a complete list of required materials. As well the mechanical basic design needed for that specific solution. The job is in close cooperation with the other team members, sales and project managers and always in an environment of telecom solutions. You are in contact with equipment suppliers and seller’s market.

A basic knowledge and field experience of automation and electrical power aspects are essential. However passion, technical feeling and human association are important. You are stating the job in an environment of wide experience and with training on the job day by day.

Necessary Qualifications / Experience:

• Professional Bachelor in electromechanics/electronics (graduate) Or Master in electromechanics/electronics (Industrieel Ingenieur)
• 3 to 6 years practical experience in electromechanical or electrical-electronic environment of solution design and realization
• The applicant is able to work autonomous, result and quality minded
• This is mainly a desk job but travel for short trips to North-West-East Africa is no problem
• Beside Dutch, the candidate has to be fluent in English and French
• Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is mandatory
• Knowledge of energy and renewable energy technology is a plus
• Knowledge of PowerPoint, Visio, Autocad and IT infrastructure is useful
• Knowledge of telecom basics are no must but useful
