Software Engineer VOIP
Our customer develops high performance products for telecom providers, professional and home surfers alike. They are a multinational top player in the area of multiple-play gateways to support advanced voice, video, and data services such as broadband access, multiple wireless voice-over-IP (VoIP) lines, IPTV, video on demand (VOD), fixed-mobile convergence, UPnP media sharing, and printer sharing.
Job Description:
You focus on embedded SW development in the VOIP area (SIP, H323, MGCP), including voice applications and drivers. Depending on the level of experience you are in charge of or you will participate in feasibility studies of VOIP related features. You are responsible for design, coding and documentation.
Being critical towards your own code you understand the importance of module testing and bug fixing before implementation. You are highly committed to deliver top quality software.
Your internal contacts include the System and test group. Your external contacts are DSP suppliers for drivers, 3rd party vendors of VOIP stacks and applications.
Necessary Qualifications / Experience:
Preferred experience or knowledge in one or more of the following domains:
- Master in computer science or equal
- Experience : 1-3 years preferably
- Good knowledge of C is a must
- Basic IP networking knowledge
- Basic Linux knowledge
- Preferably you have VOIP knowledge (SIP, H323, MGCP) or you are able/interested to learn this on a short delay
- You have driver knowledge (DSP knowledge) you can assist in a variety of tasks in this small team
Personal Skills:
- English is a must (Dutch is a plus)
- Able to work independent but having the right team spirit
- Analytical, able to find solutions when debugging
- Able to work in a fast-evolving environment
- Not afraid to take initiatives
- Motivated to learn new technologies
- Quality minded
- Someone who takes initiative is a plus
